NBC has posted the full version of Liz’s forgotten ’90s phone sex commercial from last week’s 30 Rock for “sophisticated, horny singles in the greater Chicagoland area and Shamberg.” Easily the best embarassing video from a network character’s past since CBS’s “Let’s Go to the Mall.”

More than Pwned
While doing some research on the gaming industry for a TV pitch, I came across this very informative and thorough website of the entire gaming lexicon. Here a few choice phrases or descriptions that stood out that you might want to use daily from now on, especially if you’re a pal of the god of thunder.
OTW: On the way (“Thor is otw to meet you.”)
Sandwich combat: A combat or...

How old were you when you started flossing?
And like flossing for reals, not flossing because you had corn on the cob for dinner.
Phrases I Don't Believe In
- “Come to your senses” (NEVER.)
- “Resigned to fate” (NEVER.)
- “You only have one chance” (NEVER.)
- “Nothing can stop us now” (Seriously guys, ever thought about friction?)
Pop Culture Failure
Have you ever met someone who hasn’t even heard of Back to the Future, let alone watched it? I just did. ‘Tis a depressing day indeed.
Holidays
The main difference between a holiday with your family, and a holiday with your friends is that sense of purposefulness in whatever you’re doing.
Even if it’s to the same city (one that stays relatively unchanged), what you felt and loved and didn’t want to leave two years ago feels vastly different from the here and now. I guess it’s because with your friends you wander about with this complete...
Hiatus?
I’ll be away in Australia for a week, and will face the possibility of not having an Internet connection the entire time.
I don’t know why this daunts me so much (It’s probably because I’ll miss the finale of Battlestar Galactica - no spoilers, I beg you). Maybe this is a good thing, no Gmail/Facebook/Twitter/Tumblr for a week. I’ll have a good book (bringing along...
Occupational Hazard
Most film students will relate to automatically over-analysing things when it comes to watching movies and television. It’s something that can’t be helped - making note of three-act structures, marvelling at the production design, laughing at continuity errors.
This occupational hazard has seeped into my own life - I imagine conversations playing out with dramatic effect; I think...
I spent a day last week going around dancing to Jai Ho in public places with these crazy people I go to school with. Yesterday was the last day that I’ll probably see all of them together again, and I will miss them dearly.
Double Deckers
There are several reasons why I love riding on the upper deck of double-decker buses. No matter where I sit, I can find something happy to look at.
If I sit right at the front, I like sneaking looks at the reflections of everyone else and try to guess what they’re thinking about. Sometimes (or especially when it’s at night and I’m travelling home on a particular route), I use...
I’m always saying “Glad to’ve met you” to somebody...
– J. D. Salinger, The Catcher in the Rye
I'm only dreaming
The thing about day-dreaming so often is that after a while, you come to a point where you realise most of the fantasies and happy little moments you’ve come up with in your mind will never really happen in real life.
I think I’m at that point right now.
Doesn’t mean I’ll stop trying though.
You pierce my soul...
You pierce my soul. I am half agony, half hope. Tell me not that I am too late, that such precious feelings are gone for ever. I offer myself to you again with a heart even more your own than when you almost broke it, eight years and a half ago. Dare not say that man forgets sooner than woman, that his love has an earlier death. I have loved none but you. Unjust I may have been, weak and...
Accidental
I hate it when I’m IM-ing and my capslock function has been accidentally left on. A noncommittal answer (nice, sure, haha…) ends up coming across with a different meaning altogether, and I have to spend the next few moments deliberating the awkwardness of retracting the statement or repeating it in unexcited lower case.
